It's time to FILL THE DOME!
Since 2007 the Great Plains Food Bank has worked with local schools to collect food and fill the floor of the Fargodome! Fill The Dome is the largest student-led food donation program in the country. In the 16 years it has been running, it has provided 4 million + meals to help feel hungry children, seniors, and families in the region. The food collected will help support the Moorhead students who have food security needs.
Details on Fill The Dome:
- Who: This is a student council led event
- What: Non-perishable food items
- Where: All Moorhead Area Public Schools
- When: November 1st - November 17th
How can you help? Send your non-perishable food items to school with your student to give to the classroom teacher. For example, peanut butter, canned goods, mac and cheese, etc.
Your goal as a class will be to raise the most cans/food in your school!
