Principal Message

As you may have seen on your weather app, we are scheduled to get our first weather event of the season later this week. To maximize our instructional time, our school board has approved eLearning days for this school year if we were to have school closure due to severe weather. This will replace our typical “storm days” of the past and will keep students learning regardless of the weather conditions.

To help you and your student prepare, here is a high level overview of the roles of students, teachers and parents/guardians on e-learning days. Specific instructions for your child will be shared with you by the classroom teacher. If you have further questions, please feel free to reach out to your child’s classroom teacher, or call the office at 218-284-4300.

Thanks for helping your student be prepared in case we need to utilize this new format of learning. As weather decisions are made, we will notify you through email and SMS text if we need to utilize an e-Learning day. *Please ensure your contact information is up to date.

Sincerely,

Principal Giddings, Lynnelle Giddings

Assistant Principal, Matt Peck

*Keeping your contact information up to date is important, especially for these occasions. If you have not completed your annual PowerSchool registration, now is the time to ensure you do so. This can be done by going to moorheadschools.org, clicking ‘PowerSchool’ on the upper right hand corner, and logging into your parent account. If you need assistance with your login information, please contact the school office.

*If you have already completed your annual PowerSchool registration, but want to confirm or update your information details, please contact the school office.

*Another great way to stay informed is to take a look at moorheadschools.org or download the mobile app. Just search ‘Moorhead Schools’ in your mobile app store and download for free!

*In the event that there would be a 2-hour late start due to weather conditions, school would start at 9:55AM.
