The Week Ahead

Greetings!

We are fast approaching the last week of the school year. This message is coming out early because of several urgent things for families to know about.

IMPORTANT:

Ellen Hopkins Spud Splatter Run and Buy One, Get One FREE Book Sale: Join us on May 28 from 5-7 for our annual Splatter Run. This year we have food trucks and a book sale with some awesome deals! You can register here or on the Facebook page to secure custom t-shirts and bottles filled with dye as well as VIP access at check in. We also need volunteers to help out, so sign up here to make this a fun, safe and successful event. We hope to see you there!

Ellen Hopkins Spring Family Survey: Each year we gather feedback and input from famillies in the fall and the spring. It is time for our spring survey. Our goal is to have at least 300 families respond. So far we only have 20 responses. Please help us out! Your ideas, input and suggestions help shape our school. Complete the survey here.

Socks on Friday: Please send your students with socks on Friday, May 22. They need them to be able to participate in our bouncy houses/inflatable games sponsored by our PTAC.

No School: No School on Monday, May 25 to observe Memorial Day.

Early Out: Students will be released two hours early on May 29. Please make sure to note that they will arrive home on the bus two hours early and will need to be picked up early if they are family pick up.

Lost and Found: Please feel free to stop in and check out the lost and found before and after school to see if you can find any items that have gone missing. We are having students walk through the area to look as well. All items are donated on May 29 in the afternoon, so the week ahead is your last chance to claim your items.

No Backpacks on Friday, May 29: We ask that students leave backpacks at home on the last day. All items will be sent home before Friday.

Things to Note:

Families: Help MAPS improve our communication!

As we wrap up the school year, please take 3 minutes to complete the district's annual Communication Survey. Your feedback tells us exactly how you want to receive school updates, news, and emergency alerts next year. Click here to share your voice before summer!

Kindergarten Registration: It is time to get ready for next year! If you or someone you know has a student who will be entering kindergarten, make sure to get them signed up for school. Click this link and then click enroll. We hope to see you and your 26-27 kindergarten students there!

The Hopkins Herald: Check out the May Edition!

Thanks for all you do!
