Read-A-thon

In our school library, we’ve been talking a lot about Digital Citizenship. While we often focus on the "don'ts" of the internet, I want to show my students the power of the "dos"—specifically, how we can use our digital footprints to connect, build community, and do good! 🇺🇸

The Goal: I’ve challenged my students to see if we can get a $50 donation from every single state in the U.S. to support our annual Read-a-thon!

Why it matters:

All funds go directly toward:

  • Fresh, diverse books for our school library.

  • New literacy materials for our classrooms.

  • Special reading activities to keep the kids excited about books!

How you can help:

We want to fill up our "50 States of Reading" map! 🗺️

If you’d like to help us prove that the internet is a tool for amazing things:

  • Donate $50 (or whatever you can!) via the link below.

  • Comment with your State so we can check you off the list!

  • Share this post with friends across the country to help us reach the finish line.

Let’s show these students how far a little digital kindness can travel!
