Success Tip of The Week: Celebrate Reading in Your Home: Did you know that you are the MOST important factor in your child's reading journey? You set the tone on if reading is fun, useful and important. Make time to read to your child and with your child. Have books in the car for your child to enjoy when out and about. Share your own personal reading habits with them. Encourage them and celebrate with them when they grow.
Things to Note:
Reminder: No School on Friday, March 6!
Family Conferences: Conferences are on March 9, 12, and 17. Please sign up for a time to meet with your child's teacher. Our goal is 100% participation!
Parking Lot: Do not park on the curb and exit your car during pick up or drop off. If you want to get out of your car and walk in with your child, please park in the lot. The curb is reserved for those who are just doing drop off or pick up and not exiting their vehicle. This keeps things moving quickly and keeps our parking lot safe.
Reporting Absences: Please report absences to the front office before 9 am. You can call in and leave a message or enter the absence in the Powerschool Parent Portal. Entering by 9 am helps us know who is out and it saves you from our automated call and messages. Thanks for your help with this!
Classroom Treats: A friendly reminder that our elementary handbook states that we do not allow treats for birthdays or other occasions in the classroom. Know that your child is being recognized without the sugary treats or distractions of toys, etc in their class on their special day. We also put all students birthdays (including half birthdays for our students who celebrate in the summer) on our interior tv system to celebrate! Thank you for helping us stay focused on learning.
Yearbooks: Forms have been sent home with students and you can pick up one in the office if you need one. Order now! Feel free to place your yearbook order now using this easy online link. 📕
