The Week Ahead

Hello Hopkins Families:

Reminder: Our PTAC Fundraiser has begun! Please visit with your child about how your family can help support Ellen Hopkins Elementary. All money earned goes directly back into supporting our students and staff! The coupon books sell for $20 each and have hundred of dollar worth of free items and many money saving coupons! Fundraiser runs through October 30! Thanks for supporting our school!

Personalized Learning Plans: Your student has a new document in Student Documents in PowerSchool. This document is called the PLP, which stands for Personalized Learning Plan. It shows how your student scored on the assessment called Fastbridge in September, including reading and math scores, along with a goal for the year.

The 'Typical Growth Goal' means that to stay on grade level, the student will make one year’s worth of growth.

The 'Aggressive Growth Goal' means that we will work with your student to achieve more than a year’s worth of growth to reach grade-level learning.

Please open the document, read through it, and sign by clicking this link to say you have read the document and agree to the goal we set for your student. Your partnership is appreciated!

Activities and Resources in the Area: Please check out this list of activities and resources available in our community this month. You can find out more about everything from free family activities to food banks and learning opportunities.

Upcoming Referendum: The district has worked carefully to ensure the proposed referendum will provide long-term value to students, staff, and residents.

If the operating levy is approved: A home with a median value of $250,000 in the district would see a property tax increase of $18.91 per month starting in 2026.

If the capital projects levy is approved: It would add a monthly tax increase of $4.83 per month, starting in 2026, for a total of $23.74 per month if both questions are approved.

Use the tax calculator at Vote152.org/thecost to estimate the tax impact on your property.
