Way to go, Dodds' families! Attendance at Back-to-School events last week was very well attended. We look forward to welcoming everybody back to school tomorrow, Monday, August 29. Here are a few reminders before the big day:
7:20 - Building opens, breakfast is available, buses start arriving- K-4 students who walk, bike, or get a ride to school will enter Door 1
- Families are welcome to walk to the classroom for a quick pic on the FIRST DAY only
- Students arriving by bus will enter the building through Door 24
- Staff will be on hand to help students find their classrooms the rest of the week
Teachers will review the ABC Start options with students the first day. Here's a brief overview:
- Active - students can go to the gym to walk laps before going to class
- Breakfast - students can eat breakfast in the cafeteria before active or calm
- Calm - students read, draw, or visit quietly in the neighborhood area
7:45 - Students should be in their classroom ready to learn before the bell rings
2:30 - Dismissal time - teachers walk students to the bus, students waiting for a ride will line up by grade level on the sidewalk by Door 1
2:45 - We ask that families make arrangements to have their child(ren) picked up by this time
