It is hard to believe this is the last school newsletter of the year!! The end of the school year is fast approaching. The last day for students is May 27. Please look for field trip and end-of-the-year classroom celebration information from your students' teachers.
This week is also Teacher Appreciation week. The teachers at Dorothy Dodds Elementary are talented and caring professionals who are dedicated to teaching your children.
Please consider joining our Parent Teacher Association Committee (PTAC) this coming school year. This committee is a school-based organization with a mission to make school a better place for children to learn. Parents of students work together with teachers to volunteer in class, raise money for school supplies, and generally support the school efforts. This is my last school newsletter that I will be writing for Dorothy Dodds Elementary. My last day will be June 30 as I will be retiring. During my time at DDE, I have enjoyed the opportunities to connect with students, staff and families. I have truly enjoyed getting to partner with so many families, and I will always be grateful for the students who have “filled my bucket” forever.
