I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Hilda Cervantes and I am the school social worker at Dorothy Dodds Elementary. I have been at Dorothy Dodds since the day the doors opened in 2017. This is my 9th year working in education, and my fourth year as a school school social worker. I feel very lucky to be part of the Dorothy Dodds school community.
As a School Social Worker, my primary responsibility is:
Coordinate community resources to assist students and families
Provide direct and indirect services to students, families and school staff to promote and support students' academic success
Teach social skills groups to students
Assist in developing and implementing positive behavioral programs for students
