ASP Weekly Family Note

Asp Families,

Happy Sunday!

  • Excel: Last week was the end of Excel this year! We’ve told the students and families already, but it’d be a great reminder today and this week for your child to know their plan for going home at the end of every day! Thanks for another great year of Excel!

  • Weekly Focus: Our focus this week is Integrity! We’ll talk about integrity, honesty, and doing the right thing even when nobody's watching throughout the week.

  • Student Placement: Every year we share this OPTIONAL form that any parent can fill out if they’d like to provide us with some information to help guide our student placements next year. As we always say, we DISCOURAGE requesting specific teachers for multiple reasons. However, we love and appreciate any information that you think we might find helpful as we build our rosters. We work closely with our teachers as well, and together we’ll take all information into consideration as we build balanced classrooms.

  • Boundary Exceptions: If you are attending Asp on a Boundary Exception and would like to continue doing so, you’ll need to complete this form. If Asp is your natural boundary school, though, you do NOT need to complete this.

  • Book Rally Week: Rally Week is May 12-16, and our goal is to have all 1,028 currently checked out books returned by that time! Click this link for more information about Rally Week!

  • Lunch Hero Spirit Week: It’s School Lunch Hero Week! We encourage students and staff to participate in our School Lunch Hero Spirit Week. This week each day will have a theme that has been selected by our food service staff. Feel free to dress in your best to match the day's theme.

    • Monday - Pajama Day

    • Tuesday - Dress Like your Favorite Food Day

    • Wednesday - Mismatch Day

    • Thursday - Dress Like Spuddy Day

    • Friday - Super Hero Day

As we transition from April to May we just want to thank everyone for a great year so far, and we look forward to finishing strong!

Mr. St. Louis and Mrs. Knutson, principals
