Happy Sunday! Welcome to March Madness! Well, not exactly, but March is a busy month as you can see below:
Late Start Wednesday: Our final planned Late Start for staff PD is this week on Wednesday, March 6. Doors, buses and school start time will be 2 hours delayed, which means we’ll open for business at 9:20 am. The end of the day remains unchanged with a 2:30 pm dismissal.
Conferences: The first night of conferences is this Thursday! Schedule below:
Thursday, March 7, from 4:00-7:30 pm
Monday, March 11, from 4:00-7:30 pm
Wednesday, March 13, from 8:00-11:30 am
Please log into the PowerSchool Parent Portal, select your elementary child, and then scroll down the left side until you see Power PTC. Click that link to find and schedule a conference time for your child. Some teachers might have slightly different schedules or plans, like student-led group conferences, so please watch for information from them. If you have any questions, please reach out to your child’s teacher.
Book Fair: Unfortunately, the spread out nature of conferences this spring makes things tricky for our book fair. We won’t have the book fair open for the first night of conferences this week, but we WILL have it open next week. Hours are as follows:
Mon 3/11: 3:30-7:30 pm (during conferences)
Tue 3/12: 2:30-4:30 pm (open after school)
Wed 3/13: 8:00-11:00 am (during conferences)
Also, if you can help work during any of these times, please sign up. We’d love the help!!!
Lost & Found: We’ll move Lost & Found to the main lobby during conferences, so please look for those missing items. Next week after conferences we’ll donate everything that isn’t claimed. Thanks!
Weekly Focus: This week we’re focusing on the steps to Problem Solving as outlined in our 2nd Step curriculum. Each day Mon-Thu will highlight a different step, so ask your child about it each day! Hint: Each letter of the word STEP highlights one of the steps!
Looking Ahead: Next week we’ll finish conferences as outlined above. We also have Spring Break next week starting on Wednesday. We’ll remind families again next week, but want it on your radar that we’ll only have school next week on Monday and Tuesday. There will be NO SCHOOL March 13-15. Enjoy the break!
