A Message from our Family Literacy Specialist:

Spring 2023 Family-Teacher Conferences: An opportunity to meet with your child's teacher to discuss progress, strengths, and shared goals.

Thursday, March 9th 4:00-7:30 p.m.

Monday, March 13th 4:00-7:30 p.m.

Wednesday, March 15th 8:00-11:30 a.m.

Role of Families:

Families are a child's first and best teacher and therefore, families engage in many roles in their child's education. Families are entitled and empowered to encourage, monitor, advocate and support their child's educational journey.

Teachers are excited to connect with families and talk about their shared students. Teachers desire to create a welcoming community, connect families with their child's learning and development, and honor families' culture and knowledge of their child.

Families are welcomed and encouraged to help set the conference agenda and ask questions. A few possible questions you may ask...

  • What are you noticing about my child's school experience this year?

  • What is a strength of my child?

  • What is an area of continued growth?

  • Is my child participating in class discussions and activities?

  •  How are my child's social skills?

  • What can I do at home to help support his/her academic and social progress?

Kindly,
